Dear TMSA Families,                                                                          April 29, 2024

I hope you have had a great weekend with family and friends and sharpened your saws.  Here are your updates for the week ahead where everyone has genius and is a leader… 

End of Year Testing the season for end of year assessments has begun. Be sure your student is rested and in class on time to ensure the best outcomes. Also, encourage your student to reach their goals, try their very best! We will be celebrating their growth and proficiency! Good luck to everyone!

MAP Testing grades 3, 4 and 5 will test this week. The results of these tests will be a close indicator of proficiency and measure growth.   

mClass Testing for grades K, 1, and 2 are this week.  These assessments will show who is on target for the end of the grade level expectations.  

Rising Kindergarten Orientation will take place Tuesday from 6-7:30 PM for all Kindergarten students and their families who are enrolled for the 24-25 school year.  

Art Show will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM.  This is open to all families to come and see the amazing art work! You will be amazed!  Mrs. Amaral and the students are really excited to show their work!  

Year Books The cost of each soft cover book is $20. Pay online at www.tmsacharter.org or bring your credit card to purchase in person at the Red Door on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:15am-8:00am and from 2:15pm-3:00 pm. Supply is limited so don’t wait!  Online purchases will be delivered to students in the classroom.

Saturday Academy and Tutoring There are only a 3 more weeks! Attendance is extremely important. If your child attends tutoring and/or Saturday Academy, you are highly encouraged to have them attend every single one that is available. An incentive for attendance has been established and will be shared with the students. 

Early Release Day is on May 8th. All students must be picked up by 11:50 AM or a late fee will be applied.  Be proactive. Be sure to notify your afterschool providers or make other arrangements to get your student/s by 11: 50 AM.

Leader in Me Habit 2: Begin with The End In Mind! 

 

Our School Wide WIG (Wildly Important Goal): 70% of students meeting projected goals, 70% of our students scoring proficiency and students showing a minimum of one year's growth.  We have been working on this and all the other habits all year long and now it is time for our staff and students to shine.
